Professor Nicola McEwen has been appointed to one of four 'Knowledge Exchange' fellowships intended to inform and nuture public discussion around the area of consitutional change. McEwen is joined by Professor Richard Wyn Jones, of the University ofd Cardiff and also a Fellow of the Centre.

The fellowships will run for six to eight months and will provide an opportunity for academics to work with community and public organisations in understanding the impact of constitutional change.

Professor McEwen commented, "It's a hugely exciting time to be engaged in research around constitutional change in the UK. It seems so important that the outcomes of that research should be known well beyond the walls of the academy and be used to inform debate and discussion in parliaments and pubs, city chambers and community halls. I'm particularly glad that this fellowship presents an opportunity to build further on the work undertaken by the Centre and open up new areas for public engagement."

Others to be appointed as fellows include Des McNulty, Prof Adam Tomkins and Prof Duncan MacLennan from Galsgow University and a team from the Sir Bernard Crick Centre at the University of Sheffield.
