Recent months have seen a surge of public interest in the future constitutional shape of the United Kingdom. The fatalism of some about the near-certain breakup of the country are offset by the optimism of those contemplating root-and-branch constitutional reform. In this briefing, Mireia Grau Creus (Institut d'Estudis de l'Autogovern) and Karlo Basta (University of Edinburgh), and chair, Daniel Cetrà (Centre on Constitutional Change) provide some comparative context by revisiting the political implications of similar reforms in Canada and Spain.

There will be time for questions following the discussion with our speakers. Questions are welcome in advance and during the event. You can submit these via email centre.constitutional.change@ed.ac.uk or by including this in the order form on Eventbrite.

The event will take place on Zoom. A link to join will be sent to attendees prior to the event.

Please note that this event will be recorded and the footage made available via YouTube following the session.
