Alex Salmond sets date for Scottish independence white paper

Speaking this weekend at the Scottish National Party conference, First Minister Alex Salmond announced the date of the long-awaited Scottish Governent white paper on independence. The paper, to be released on 26 November 2013, will outline the Government's plans for independence. Speaking at a Fringe event in advance of the announcement, Professor John Curtice stated that the Party must focus on issues of defence and foreign policy, particularly in regards to European Union membership, in order to build their case for independence.
